This week alone, we had two discussions with potential clients, and both of them specified that they needed an fCTO.
The thing is, at this point, the meaning of “CTO” has been so muddied that it is basically meaningless.
Some early-days startups will think and say they need a CTO, but what they really need is a Founding Engineer.
A CTO can certainly be technical (and should be), but if your CTO is programming day up and day out, this is a sign that something is wrong.
When an organisation need strategy for expanding into a new market, developing a roadmap for a new product, or aiding with the hiring process, this is where the CTO comes in.
If you need a Founding Engineer, we are happy to help find you your perfect fit.
If you need a CTO, you know where to find us :)
